He was kind of the father of rotoscoping.... He didn't invent it, but I think he was responsible for popularizing it as a means of animation back in the 70's and early 80's. Interesting guy.

(I'm an animation nerd. Animation, not Anime so don't spam me with Sailor Moon or whatever)
